The word “Frustum” is borrowed directly from geometry. The word itself dates back to the 17th century, originating from the Latin word meaning “a piece broken or cut off”. ‘The Frustum’ is simply named after a ‘chopped pyramid’, which is geometrically known as a truncated pyramid. We find this shape very pleasing to the eye, no matter the angle from which the podium is viewed.
