‘The Red Edit’ is an open-ended series of objects finished in our signature ‘Bonaveri Red’ lacquer. In 2006, Andrea Bonaveri crafted this unique colour, inspired by the rich history of the family’s hometown crest of Ferrara and by scientific research showing that our brains perceive red more quickly than other colours. Originally, this striking colour was designed for the archival Schläppi 1968 ‘Giant Hand,’ positioned in the gardens of the Bonaveri factory. He wanted this single red element to stand out and draw attention, welcoming guests as they arrived.

In 2025, we launched ‘The 10 Collection’, which featured a new 82 cm version of this iconic ‘Giant Hand’: Object No.1 ‘The Red Hand’. The hand became Bonaveri Décor’s brand icon; for this edit, ‘The Red Hand’ is now available in three iconic sizes, including a new giant version standing 2.2 metres tall. We have also introduced the original 1967 ‘Giant Loisir’ mannequin; both of these iconic items are designed by Italian artist Lorenzo Piemonti, alongside a series of other archival Schläppi objects in the edit.

We invite you into our new world to look around, discover our inspiration, understand our techniques and materials, and to take a closer look at items that can be abstract, stylised, or conceptual.

We look forward to meeting our new collectors.
